Netflix’s Dance Monsters, a brand-new competition series, will debut on December 16. The new dancing competition show, which TV Insider can exclusively reveal, will give dancers the second possibility in their careers.
Hosted by Pussycat Dolls’ Ashely Roberts, Dance Monsters is judged by popular singer/dancer Ne-Yo, the social media sensation Lele Pons, and Ashley Banjo, one of the best street dancers in the UK.
In Dance Monsters, the dancers are fitted on with motion capture equipment, and, in a monster-themed twist, they perform on stage for judges as CGI avatars.
Dancers who have had their careers put on hold have a second chance to pursue their aspirations, regaining their confidence in the process. The winner is taking a grand amount of $250,000 home.
Netflix describes the new show, Dancing Monsters, as a “very feel-good program.”
Aside from her singing career, Ashley has been keeping herself busy with acting in films, television, and reality tv shows.
Ashley was the swan in one of the episodes of The Masked Singer in late 2020. Later she was rumored to be a Panda in the same show in early 2022. However, the panda singer turned out to be Cindy Lauper.
